It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn F. Bailey (Hyattsville, Maryland), born in Richmond, Virginia, who passed away on April 10, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her mother Daisy Winston Fleming; and her brother Horace III. She is survived by : her father Horace Fleming; her children, Toacca Rutherford (Bill) and Jayson Bailey; her granddaughters, Imani, Malia and Amali Rutherford; and her siblings, LaVerne Coles and Kelvin Fleming (Mable). She is also survived by husband, dearest loving friend and father to her beautiful children.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM and on Thursday, April 25th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 at 4:30 PM at the Jb Jenkins Funeral Home, Inc. (7474 Landover Rd, Hyattsville, MD 20785). A reception was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the James R. Cousins Jr. Municipal Center (Gold Room) (8600 Glenarden Pkwy, Glenarden, MD 20706).

Donations to the Jayson Fleming Bailey Scholarship at Pilgrim Journey Baptist Church are welcome in lieu of flowers.
