She was predeceased by: her parents, John Lewis and Margaret Minor; and her husband James B. Washington. She is survived by: her children, James Matthew, Kim Stacy of Washington, DC and Tanya Dorothy of Washington, DC; her grandchildren, Britney (Kalaa), Sean, Brionna, Javien, Javon and Jana; her great grandchildren, M'Laysia, Taniyah (Tinka), Logan, Reagan, Christian and Jacara; and her sisters, Mollie, Rosia, Margo and Carolyn. She is also survived by several nieces, and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She attended church regularly until the COVID pandemic in 2020.
