He was predeceased by: his parents, Esther Belle Ervin and Burgess McGill; and his siblings, Nathene McGill Rich, Eda May McGill, Lila Annette McGill McDowell, Sherry Ann McGill Jamison, Ida McGill Davis, Mary Cunningham Williams, Alafair Cunningham Cooper, Isaac McGill and Doward Cunningham.
He is survived by: his wife Georgia; his mother-in-law Elizabeth Hipp Schumpert; his daughters, Vicki, Monica L. McGill and Ruth Salley; his godchildren, Burrell Jamison and Imani Beausejour; his siblings, Raleigh (Ruth), Sam "See" McGill and Patricia McGill White; his aunt Nellie Cooper McGill Knox; and his brothers-in-law, Willie Lindsay (Mary Lee) and Preston Jamison. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, close cousins, extended family.
