He is survived by: his friend James Edward Mintz of Shelby; his wife Ethel; his children, Audrey Jo Mintz, Alton Stefon Mintz and Gerald Rouse (Jacquese); his sisters, Mary Long of Washington, DC, Johnnie Randall (Leo) of Washington, DC, Margie Maddox (Franklin) of Shelby, NC, Macie Petty (Dwight) of Shelby, NC and Patricia Littlejohn (Bishop Willie) of Wake Forest, NC; his aunt Ruby Harris of Washington, DC; his uncle Amos McCluney; his parents-in-law, Mary Armstrong, Jonathan Kelly (Gloria), Deborah Banks, Timothy Kelly (Lisa) and Lewis Kelly (April) of Atlanta; and his friend Melvin Blake of Waldorf, MD.. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
