June Barclay Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of June Barclay of Hyattsville, Maryland, who passed away on July 2, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Enos Mighty and Una Mighty. She is survived by: her husband Winston Barclay (Michael); her son Peter Maye; her siblings, Lincoln Mighty (Dorothy), Audrey Williams (Wellington) and Carlton Mighty (Donna); her grandson Isaac; and her caregivers, Nancy, Sharon, Paula and Michele. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and many friends.

Initially working as a nanny at the French Guinea Embassy in Washington, DC, June made a positive impact wherever she worked, including Woodward and Lothrop Department Store, Hariri Foundation, and the DC Child and Family Services Agency.
