He was predeceased by: his parents, Florence Hinds and Lee Hinds (Edith Miller Hinds). He is survived by: his daughter Kathleen Divver (Gary); his stepdaughter Nancy Patton; his granddaughter Laura McDowell; and his great grandchildren, Kaylee McDowell and Brienna McDowell.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions may be made in his name to Meals on Wheels America.
