We are sad to announce that on October 7, 2025, at the age of 97, Lois Majette (Hyattsville, Maryland) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her sisters, Madie Jackson and Clara Mae Hamilton; her spouse Fatress Lee Majette; her son Larry H. Majette; and her nephews, Fredrick Gatling and Bernard Bailey.
She is survived by: her brother Fred Warren Gatling; her sons, Edward E. Majette (Bettie), Elton L. Majette and Fatress O. Majette; her grandchild Tyra E. Majette; her sibling's children, Linda Singleton, Susan Gatling (DeLeon), Gus Jackson (Fontaine) and Vernon Hamilton; her friend Betty Davis Gates; and her daughters, Lynn Thore and Lisa Anne Banks.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Jb Jenkins Funeral Home (7474 Landover Rd, Hyattsville, MD 20785). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the same location.
