He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnson Wood and O'Neil Crosby; and his siblings, Henry Wood, William Furr and Florine Scott.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Wood; his children, Kathy Jeffers (Gary), Karen Davis (Grover), Lisa Wright, Michael Wood (Marie), Marvin Wood, Jeffrey Wood and Jerry Wood (Ernestine); and his brother Freddy Ellis (Blanche). He is also survived by 21 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbors, and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Shiloh Baptist Church (8801 Ardwick Ardmore Rd, Hyattsville, MD 20785).
