He is survived by: his sons, Milton Jr. (Joan), Tyrone (Sharon) and Anthony Simms; his grandchildren, Dionne, Milton III, Marta', Aja, Marquis Harley, Antesha, Julia, Starr and Anthony Jr.; his great grandchildren, Timethia, Timothy, Tatyana, Tylik Furr, Jerrell, Akeelah, Mykai Harley and Bailey Simms-Ball; his grandchild Braelyn Nicole Simms-Ball; his great great grandchildren, Marquies Hall and Timeus King-Messiah Furr; his siblings, Paulette Cummings, Maurita Bostic, Harvey and Art Harley; and his siblings-in-law, Shirley Harley, Joyce Harley, Geraldine Smith, Helen Simms, Richard Cummings, Pete Bostic, Butch Byrd, Grant Anderson and Michael Simms. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, adopted daughters and sons, and friends.
