He was predeceased by : his wife Mary R. Harper Thorne; and his son Michael Thorne. He is survived by : his children, Nelson Jenkins, Winfred Thorne, Cheryl Cook and Kimberly Thorne; his grandchildren, LaTasha Cook, Michael Jamal Thorne, Bria Thorne and Justin Thorne (Lexis); and his great grandchildren, Avah and Kali Thorne.
