Rita R. Hume Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of Rita R. Hume (Hydes, Maryland). Rita, born on October 31, 1933, passed away on October 18, 2026. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Rita R. Hume to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband Kenneth M. Hume; and her brother Louis Reuter. She is survived by: her daughters, Gwen Goldman (James Frantz), Renee Husselbaugh (Mark Guidot) and Julie Goad (Robert Goad); her grandchildren, Krista (Dan), Eric, Olivia, Caroline and Tyler; her great grandchild Jonathan; her brother John Reuter (Janet); and her sister-in-law Juanita Borgerding (Alfred). She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Schimunek Funeral Home, Inc. (9705 Belair Rd, Nottingham, MD 21236). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. John the Evangelist Cemetery (13305 Long Green Pike, Hydes, MD 21082). A committal service will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
