We announce the death of Deirnee Michelle Harris-Yates (Indian Head, Maryland), who passed away on July 4, 2026, at the age of 72. She was predeceased by: her husband Carlton O. Yates; her parents, Dorothy Bell Hunter and Norman Harris Sr. Deirnee'; her grandparents, Ola Mae Hunter and Julius Hunter Sr.; her sister Tyjaun Harris; and her niece Shanell Harris.
She is survived by: her children, Diamond Harris, Carlton Harris, Anton Harris and Julius Harris (Jenae Harris); her grandchildren, Jeniah, Julius, Julian, Jade, Cynthia Harris, Tyleek, Ameen and Cherish Mundy; and her siblings, Sanchez Saxon, Ola Saxon, Norman Harris, Caesar Harris and Clarence Saxon. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.
