She was predeceased by: her parents, Burleigh Simmons and Carrie Simmons; her son Derek "Ricky" Smith; her husband Whimpy; her daughter-in-law Janice; and her siblings, Lessie of Washington, Constance "Sis" Milstead, Mary "Goldie" King, Adrian, Francis "Merdie", Joseph and Russell Simmons.
She is survived by: her children, Joseph "Lonnie" Smith (Vicky) and Angella R. Davis (James); and her siblings-in-law, Benny Smith and Irma "Chic" Gray. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren, niece.
