He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Powers (Janes); his son Matthew Powers; his sisters, Beth Swann of Welcome, MD and Amy Hale of Frederick, MD; and his brothers-in-law, Thomas Janes of Hollywood, MD, Vincent Janes, Sr. of Hollywood, MD and Gregory Janes (Heather) of Waldorf, MD.. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
