He was predeceased by: his parents, William Jennings Higgs and Dorothy Higgs (Eck); and his siblings, William Higgs, Thomas Higgs and Wanda Mae Higgs.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ruth Higgs (Dodd); his children, Karen Ambruso (Christopher) and Gary W. Higgs; his granddaughters, Cali Ambruso, Karina Ambruso and Secora Ambruso; and his brothers, Clifford Higgs and Michael Higgs. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home (123 W Commerce St, Smyrna, DE 19977). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
