She was predeceased by: her mother Maria Stasiw; and her former husband Rev. Hryhorij Boris Podhurec. She is survived by: her father Mik; her daughter Marusia Melackrinos; her husband Al Stahl; and her grandchildren, Helena, Magdalena, Mia and Matthew.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Helena's name are asked to be made to, St. Andrew Ukrainian War Efforts c/o St. Andrew Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral, 15100 New Hampshire Ave, Silver Spring, MD 20905.
