With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Sidney Scherer Jr. of Jarrettsville, Maryland, who passed away on December 4, 2025 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Donna J. Scherer; his children, Valerie Depew (David), Amanda Bocek (Scott) and Gregory Scherer (Allison); his grandchildren, Samantha, Cassidy Depew, Colton, Finley Bocek, Charlie and Gunnar Scherer; and his sister Patricia Snyder (Thomas).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air (610 W MacPhail Rd, Bel Air, MD 21014). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. An entombment will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Highview Memorial Gardens (3433 Fallston Rd, Fallston, MD 21047).
