Clifton Payne Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on March 20, 2026, at the age of 93, Clifton Payne of Jefferson, Maryland passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice Raymond Payne and Ethel Pauline Payne (Holmes); his wife Betty Kathleen Payne; his son Kenneth E. Payne; his grandson Joel Delauter; and his brothers, Marshall Payne, Melvin Payne and Milton Payne.
He is survived by: his children, Michael E. Payne (Nina), Ricky L. Payne (Nona), Brenda K. Griffith (Ron), Dwayne E. Payne (Rose), Tina Delauter, Jerry L. Payne (Jessie) and Christopher C. Payne (Shasta); and his siblings, Maurice Payne, Betty Bohrer, Richard Payne, Garry Payne and Jimmy Payne. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Martinsburg VA Medical Center at 510 Butler Avenue Martinsburg, WV 25045 in memory of Veteran Clifton E. Payne.
