He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph William McKirahan and Mildred Josephine "Jo" McKirahan (Beahm); and his half-brother James Gauntt. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca "Becky" Slaugh; his daughter Kristina Rose McKirahan; his half-siblings, Douglas McKirahan, Joy Bass (Gauntt), Patricia Deming (McKirahan) and Janet Gauntt; his stepbrother Blair Gauntt; his siblings, Scott McKirahan and Lori Burton (McKirahan); his nephew William Warden (Ashley); his brother-in-law Richard Slaugh Sr. (JoAnn Slaugh); his nephews, Richard Slaugh Jr. (Agnes Slaugh) and James Slaugh Jr. (Victoria); and his niece Jennifer Slaugh (Jimmy Simpson).
