He was predeceased by: his parents, Elwood Odell Bass and Ruthie Irene Bass (Howell); and his brother John Bass (Vy). He is survived by: his wife Marge; his daughters, Christine Bass (Matthew Stangle) and Jacquelyn Bass (Scott Johnson); his granddaughter Madeline Stangle; his brother-in-law Robert Carter (Patricia); and his nephew David Bass (Lauren).
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Abingdon-McComas Family Funeral Homes (1317 Cokesbury Rd, Abingdon, MD 21009). A funeral service was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Interment will be PrivateIn lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Harford County Humane Society https://www.harfordshelter.org or Salem United Methodist Church https://www.salemunited.org on Bradshaw Road.
