He was predeceased by: his wife Vivian Clipp; and his parents, Merle Leslie and Ivy Mae Clipp (Pike). He is survived by: his sons, Lyndell (Fonda), Brent (Peggy), Galen (Sandra) and Dolan (Salli); his grandchildren, Lindsey Clipp, Megan Clipp, Heather Shockley (John), Amy Clipp and Matthew Clipp; his stepgrandson Donovan Harbaugh (Morgan); his great grandchildren, Peyton Virts, Sydnee Clipp and Noah Shockley; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Ryker and Reagan Harbaugh; his sister Linda Ridenour (Marvin); his sisters-in-law, Irene Palmer and Beverly Patterson; Mark Reno. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
