Merle leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Merle’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Hambleton and Hilda Hambleton of Sharpsburg, Maryland.; and his son Michael Hambleton. He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Hambleton; his daughters, Carol Lewis (Eric), Candace Hambleton and Melissa Pennington (Mike); and his friend Debbie. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to Saint Peter's Lutheran Church.
