He is survived by: his wife Vera Vandendries; his children, Frans Vandendries (Suzanne) and Erik Vandendries (Regina); his grandchildren, Gabrielle, Emma, Liora and Alexander; and his sister Suzanne Vandendries of Belgium. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
