In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Duvercia had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Duvercia may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Verneus Elien and Marie Elien (Sainte Normil); and her brother Stephen Elien. She is survived by : her husband Monege; her children, John Guerine, Danny Guerine and Sheila Smith; and her cousin Mercilia Sejour. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 20 nieces and nephews, and 13 great nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, May 11th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the New Hope Church of God (4200 Old Washington Rd, Waldorf, MD 20695). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 11th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, May 11th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (201 St Marys Ave, La Plata, MD 20646).
