He is survived by: his wife Darlene; his stepdaughter Heather Friedrich (Rick Reynolds); his children, Brandy Richardson, Dawnna Pfarr (Andy Pfarr) and John Charles "JC" Richardson II; the mother of his children Annie Hernandez; Marie Absher, Billy Absher (Karen Absher), Pat Absher (Nicole Absher) and Bonnie Mullin. He is also survived by many grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
