He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Marvin Ferguson and Nancy Jane Swedenburg Ferguson; his wife Barbara Ferguson; and his siblings, Irene Webb, Christine Bailey, Curtis Ferguson and Doug Ferguson.
He is survived by: his children, Kay (Gerald Hancock), Fay (Timothy Kuhn), John (Tracey Ferguson, Jr.) and James (Jennifer Ferguson, Sr.); and his siblings, Willie Marvin Ferguson, Willie Jean Ferguson, Kathleen Black, Billy, Diane Parsons, Elaine Thomas, Bob, Lilia Morgan and Janice Taylor. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grand children and 1 great-great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of La Plata (9070 Hawthorne Rd, La Plata, MD 20646). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
