He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph A. Simpson, Sr. and Margie Murphy Simpson; and his uncles, John Murphy (Margaret Stickel), NedRay Murphy (Ethel Burch) and Benny Simpson.
He is survived by: his aunts, Rose Radcliff and Ramona Millar. He is also survived by numerous cousins and special friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Arehart-Echols Funeral Home (211 St Marys Ave, La Plata, MD 20646). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at the Sacred Heart Church Cemetery (410 St Marys Ave, La Plata, MD 20646).
