He is survived by: his wife Irma Barren Nicholson; his daughter Marcella Stevenson (Alvin); his grandchildren, Shirin Dabney Jr. (Howard), Jade Nicholson, Sydnee Stevenson and Kendyll Stevenson; his great grandchildren, Laila and Howard L. Dabney; and his sisters, Adelia Porter, Shelia Cooper, Evelyn Mahoney, Francine Chambliss and Carla Fields. He is also survived by nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
