She was predeceased by: her husband John Andrew Hughes. She is survived by: her daughters, Kenice Hughes-Griggs and Kimberly Hughes Valentine; and her grandson Kendall Hughes-Griggs. She is also survived by extended family, friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Seaton Memorial AME Church (5507 Lincoln Ave, Lanham, MD 20706). Visitation will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Quanitco National Cemetery. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
