She was predeceased by: her husband William C. McKutchin. She is survived by: her sons, Warrick C. McKutchin (Jacqueline) and Wesley C. McKutchin (Diane); her grandchildren, Wesley C. McKutchin II (Aiesha), Kelley McKutchin, William C. McKutchin III, Mariah McKutchin and Janea Milburn; her great grandchildren, Avery, Amaya McKutchin, Jaiden and Dominic Milburn-Stiefel; her siblings, Rosa Gales, Herman and Richard Dove; and her close friend Johnathan Scott.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the National Museum of African American History and Culture (NMAAHC).
