It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gregory Dexter Holliday (Lanham, Maryland), born in Boston, Massachusetts, who passed away on November 8, 2025, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Marion Holliday; and his brothers, Darnell Patterson and Roderick Patterson. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Holliday of Glenn Dale, MD; his children, Yvonne Duke (Bryan) of Pelham, AL, Keyonta Gamble (India) of DeSoto, TX, Gregory Russell of Upper Marlboro, MD, Adrienne Holliday of Louisville, KY, Alexis Holliday of Sicklerville, NJ and Tristan Holliday of Glenn Dale, MD; his mother Geneva Patterson of Mattapan, MA; his siblings, Ralph Patterson (Keisha) of Brandon, MS, Twanda Patterson of Cleveland Heights, OH, Derrick Patterson (Cherrain) of Knoxville, TN and Monique Patterson of Atlanta, GA; and his grandchildren, Brooke, Kimaya, Bryan Jr., Keyonta Jr. and Ian. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 17th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mount Calvary Baptist Church (5120 Whitfield Chapel Rd, Lanham, MD 20706). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
In 2013, he was honored with the "You Make a Difference" award for his contributions to the church community.
