She was predeceased by: her husband Donald Dean; her parents, Grover Cleveland Bryce and Mildred Eugenia Jemmott Bryce; and her brothers, Cleveland Eugene Bryce and Duane Baxter.

She is survived by: her children, Jacqueline Charisse Hunter (Michael), Ronald Johnson, Dawn Muhammad (David), Jay Janel and Dana McKenzie (William); her grandchildren, Michael Hunter Jr. (Zorina), Ajani Hunter, Elijah Hunter, Ronald Johnson IV, Moriah Johnson, Nelson Johnson, Jeremiah Johnson, Muhsi Muhammad, Muqtadir Muhammad, Muqaddim Muhammad, Yasin Muhammad, Zahir Muhammad, William McKenzie, Angela McKenzie, Lauryn McKenzie and Kylah McKenzie; her great grandchildren, Cairo Briggs, Hendrix Hunter and Eliza Muhammad; and her brother Robert Spencer Bryce. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and the many friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Seaton Memorial AME Church (5507 Lincoln Ave, Lanham, MD 20706). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
