She was predeceased by: her parents, Austin Morton and Rosetta Morton; her daughter Ornjelle Gilbert; and her sister Pearl Morton. She is survived by: her husband Charles Gilbert; her children, Gizelle Gilbert, Kareem Gilbert, Gabriel Gilbert, Gabriela and Tiarra Gilbert; her grandson Mekhi Gilbert; her siblings, Rueben Morton, Joycelyn Morton and Tyson Morton; and her close friend Brenda Levine.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the New Beginnings Church (6310 Cipriano Rd, Lanham, MD 20706). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
