He was predeceased by: his mother Victoria Smith; and his siblings, Mary Ruth Kidd (Ed), Mattie Helen Bradley (Isaac), John Puckett (Jean), Luke Smith and James Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Flonnie Douglas Smith; his children, Shanda Bruner (David), James D. Smith (Kathy) and Timothy G. Smith (Venessa); his grandchildren, Heather Fowler (Sam), Molly Proudfit (Matt), Dylan Smith, Calvin Smith (Megan) and Daniel Smith; and his great grandchildren, Mason Fowler, Sara Fowler, Graham Proudfit and Claire Proudfit. He is also survived by other family members, and a host of friends.
