He was predeceased by: his parents, Cyril Daniel Jeffers and Mary Theresa Jeffers (Horan); his wife Barbara Ann Jeffers (Snyder); his son Michael Jeffers; and his sister Maryanne Tate.
He is survived by: his children, Kimberley Rau-Sisto (Frank), Daniel Jeffers (Karen), Richard Jeffers (Bryan Ashby) and Robert Jeffers (Diane); his grandchildren, Ricky Rau, Jr. (Marie), Danielle Clardy (Courtney), Natalie Sisto, Nick Sisto, Jeffrey Hale (Marianne), James Hale (Angela), Jacqueline Sterner (Nathan), Jennifer Jeffers, Dylan Jeffers, Justin Jeffers, Jared Jeffers, Olivia Jeffers, Emma Jeffers, Sean Jeffers, Evan Jeffers, Kyle Jeffers and Kevin Jeffers; and his brother James Jeffers (Shirley). He is also survived by eleven great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Burial will be at the Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville, MD on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, 10:45 am, In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in his name to the Laurel American Legion Post 60, 2 Main Street Laurel, MD 20707.
