He was predeceased by : his parents, James Patterson and Hazel Patterson; his former life partner Karen Patterson; and his half-brother Thomas Huffman. He is survived by : his wife Marilynn Patterson; his children, Lisa Ann Stevens and David James Patterson, Jr.; his grandchild Cinder Hurst (Jacob); his half-siblings, Donald Huffman (Rhonda), Joseph Patterson (Michelle) and Susan Michalicek (David); his sister-in-law Donna Freeman; and his great grandchildren, Hunter Hall, Asher Hurst and Briar Snow. He is also survived by Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and many dear friends.
