He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Boyd Kearney and Winnie Kearney (Davis); his son Gene Kearney Jr.; his grandson Bryant Kearney; his wife Joyce Ann Kearney (Haigh); his daughter Denise James (Harold); his granddaughter Dawn Kearney; his great grandchild Micah Kearney Lester; his son Kevin Kearney (Tracy); his stepson Mark E. Bower (Michelle Bower); his stepgranddaughters, Caroline and Emily; his stepson Stephen W. Bower (Jeanne Bower); and his stepgrandchildren, David, Alexandra and Matthew. He was also cherished by three great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: Air Force Aid Society or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
