We are sad to announce that on December 15, 2023, at the age of 82, Maryanne Starzec (Laurel, Maryland), born in Larksville, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her husband John Joseph Starzec Jr.; her son John Joseph Starzec III; her parents, Patrick Gardzalla and Josephine Gardzalla; and her siblings, Patrick Gardzalla and Joan Maher.

She is survived by : her children, Joann Moe (Brian), Suzann Tom (Barry), Lori Orta, Jay Starzec (Patti), Matthew Starzec (Kelly) and Marci Whalen (Brian); her grandchildren, Alexandra Flowers (Derek), Kersten Doherty (Mark), Ryan Tom, David Orta, Sofia Orta, Lucas Orta, Scott Moe, Brady Starzec, James Starzec, Madeline Starzec, Cooper Whalen and Dylan Whalen; and her great grandchildren, Abigail and Devin Flowers.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to St. Vincent Pallotti High School, 113 St Marys Pl, Laurel, MD 20707.
