He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Vernon Gavigan and Ruth Elizabeth Whitehead Gavigan; and his brothers, Walter "Bob" Vernon Gavigan Jr. and William "Bill" Harris Gavigan. He is survived by: his daughter Jean Gavigan Vogt (Gilbert) of Edgewood Kentucky; his granddaughters, Jordan Vogt and Megan Vogt Karle (Andrew) of Ft. Mitchell Kentucky; his great grandchildren, Kaden Vogt, Emerson Karle and Everett Karle; and his sister Martha "Sue" Gavigan Webster (Larry).
