He is survived by: his wife Helen; his children, Mark Trent, Rhonda Holmes and Sammy Holmes, Jr.; his grandchildren, Shayla Holmes, Kevin Holmes, Mya Trent and Natalia Holmes (Nat); and his siblings, Jeanette Mitchell (Holmes) and Barney Holmes, Jr. (Delores). He is also survived by 5 nieces, 2 nephews and multiple great-nieces.
