Whitworth Jr. of Lavale, Maryland, born in Cumberland, Maryland, who passed away on April 16, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, David G. Whitworth, Sr. and Florence Repp Whitworth. He is survived by : his children, Gregg B. Whitworth and Kara M. Whitworth; his granddaughters, Faye L. Schroeder and Maya R. Epstein; his siblings, Molly R. Whitworth and Horace P. Whitworth, II (Terry); and his close friend Nancy S. Reed. He is also survived by nieces, and nephew, and cousins.

A celebration of life was held on Monday, May 6th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory (2973 Solomons Island Rd, Edgewater, MD 21037). A reception will be held on Saturday, June 8th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Fratelli's (359 National Hwy, La Vale, MD 21502).
