We announce the death of Evelyn Louise Garland (Leonardtown, Maryland), born in Bangor, Maine, who passed away on July 12, 2026, at the age of 87. Evelyn will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dorthy Chick and Herman Chick (Andrew Baker Garland, Jr); and her siblings, Herman Chick, Jr., Ricky Chick and Judith Dunning.
She is survived by: her children, Andrew Baker Garland III (Marion), Tracy Lynn Garland Schlosser (Andrew) and Lisa Garland Farrell (Ronald); her siblings, Jacqueline Thorne (Shaw), Jacquelyn Dubay (Chick) and William Shaw, Jr.; her grandchildren, Cynthia Marie Cavey (Jeremy), Ricky "TJ" King, Jr. (Paula), Hannah Johnson (Kevin) and Jakob Garland; and her great grandchildren, Kevin "Kip" Johnson III, Noelle Johnson and Madeline Johnson. She is also survived by her family, friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be considered in Evelyn's memory to Hospice of St. Mary's in Callaway, Maryland.
