He was predeceased by: his parents, Catherine Beanes Claggett Townshend and Harold Clayton Townshend; and his brother Harold (Mick). He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his sons, John Randall (Randy) of Richmond, VA and Troy Justin (Britany) of Westminster, MD.; his brother Edgar (Eddie); his nephews, Daniel, Clay and Clint; and his grandchildren, Trace, Troy, Jr., Haley and Hilton Montgomery.
