He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Dent and Eunice Dent. He is survived by: his wife Betty Jo; and his children, Joe (Lisa), Karen (Mel), Cindy (Randy), Mike (Anita) and Dave (Melissa). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren with 20 great grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Brinsfield Funeral Home (30195 Three Notch Rd, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of St. Mary's County.
