He was predeceased by: his parents, Gertrude Holden and Basil Holden; his former wife Temple Bagby; and his siblings, Hazel, Carl, Laura, Mildred, Paul, Charles, Helen, Grace, Basil, Ruth, Margaret, John, Cecil, Gertrude and Eleanor.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Rita White Holden; his children, James Holden (Teri) of Indian Head, MD, Elizabeth Wicker (Frank) of Avenue, MD and Rachel Toney (Robert) of Asheboro, NC; his grandchildren, Harley, Dylan White, Paul, Jesse Toney, Sarah Stahlman (Treven), Shane Cameron and Mikayla Cheseldine; his great grandchildren, Gannon, Addisyn Stahlman and Harper Cameron; his brothers, Richard and Robert; his stepchildren, Kathleen Cave (Bob), Carolyn Burroughs (Dan) and T. David White (Melody); and his stepgrandchildren, Margaret Cave, Nicholas, Joshua, Nathan Burroughs, Amber, Jessica White, Melissa Rivera and Olio Kawaguchi.
