She was predeceased by: her parents, Ethel Marie Ridgell Hammett and Ignatius Abell Hammett; her husband Joe of Matt's Guy; and her siblings, Daniel Hammett, Agnes Wathen, Evelyn Wathen, Jerome Hammett, Doris Norris and David Hammett.
She is survived by: her children, Wayne Guy (Arlene) of Avenue, MD, Missy Oliver (Brian) of Budds Creek, MD, Tracey Wood (Frankie) of Leonardtown, MD and Nick Guy (Cathy) of Chaptico, MD; and her siblings, Carney Hammett of Charlotte Hall, MD, Cecilia Atkins of California, MD and John Hammett of Avenue, MD.. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren.
