He is survived by: his wife Katherine; his son Michael Powell (Nancy) of Scotland, MD; his grandson Calvin Powell of Scotland, MD; his stepmother Bonnie Powell of Hollywood, MD; his brothers, Bud James (Laurie) of Lumberton, TX and Sean Powell of Hollywood, MD; and his pet Molly.
