He is survived by: his wife Linda Kathleen Pistachio (Mattingly); his children, Christina Murray, Rusty Pistachio (Debbie), Michelle Pistachio, Darren Pistachio and Dennis Pistachio (Jessica); his grandchildren, Kayla Roth (Chris), Julia Collins (Alex), Jared Pistachio, Marcelo Pistachio, Alexia Pistachio and Emma Pistachio; his great grandchild Noelle Rose Collins; his siblings, Barbara Couse (Clint) and Joseph Pistachio (Margaret); and his siblings-in-law, Lori Pistachio and Gino Putrino.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home (41590 Fenwick St, Leonardtown, MD 20650). A prayer was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church (29119 Point Lookout Rd, Morganza, MD 20660). A burial was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Queen of Peace Cemetery (38888 Dr Johnson Rd, Mechanicsville, MD 20659).
