She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert J. Bailey, Sr. and Mildred H. Bailey (James C. Lanham, Sr.); her brother Robert J. Bailey, Jr.; and her grandson James Hannon. She is survived by: her cousin Astronaut; her children, Cheryl L. Hannon of Prince Frederick, MD, James C. Lanham, Jr. of Ridge, MD and Harold D. Young of Great Mills, MD; and her brother K. Maurice Bailey of Tyaskin, MD. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and very special friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in the name of Florence B. Lanham may be made to these non-profits.
