He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter and Mary Carlson; his brothers, Edward and Tom Carlson of Muskegon, Mich.; and his brothers-in-law, Richard Schmanske of Glenshaw and Peter Hollaender of Bad Ems, Germany..
He is survived by: his wife Brigitte; his sisters-in-law, Kay Carlson of Muskegon, Maria Schmanske of Morris Plains, N. J. and Ingeborg Hollaender of Bad Ems, Germany; his children, Peter Carlson (Sara) of Olney, Lisa Ferraro (Joe) of New Market and Paul Carlson (Caitlin) of Cincinnati; his nephews, Michael Schmanske of Pittsburgh, Ben and Chris Hollaender of Germany; and his granddaughters, Rebecca Carlson of Olney and Elena Ferraro of New Market.
